I realize I stress my computers as I encrypts my boot disk, and decryption of its contents is selectively on-demand, thus slowing the computer in situations like logging in. Occasional, an activity in the BitDefender Shield can knock NordVPN off the selected VPN server and I have to manually reconnect assuming I noticed the connection lost. Neither of these app are scheduled by me to start on login, just part of there design.

This work well enough with my NordVPN app on my 2019 MacBook Air but interferes with the VPN app coming up on an older (2014) MacBook Pro. The reason for this post is that the BitDefender Antivirus app comes up whenever I log in to my account to bring up a background shield to 'protect' my computer, and to install any updates. You do get alerts every time it blocks something bad from 'attacking' whatever device connected to the Box 2, including alerts to fix some missing or offline device, including reboot it from the BitDefender Central app. There is a Control Center app for other computer and phones for you to control and reviews alerts. It's not cheap as you need to pay am annual renewal fee around $200 to keep it working, although you do get about 5 free annual subscription of a antivirus program to use with your computers. It's rather dated as it was first made available on Amazon and apparently hasn't changed.
